Hi all,

I have a 08 Denali with less then 15000 miles on it. There is a rattle (driver's side) that is either buried under the dash near the pillar or coming from the firewall area that sounds like a thin piece of metal vibrating and rattling on another metal surface. On smooth roads or at highway speeds it's quiet but get the vehicle on hard pack snowy roads or uneven surfaces and it sounds like a rattle trap. I hate to bother with taking it in to the dealer under warranty. Are there any common places on these trucks to look for loose hardware?

Thanks

I MAY have this on my '09, too, but it's toward the passenger side. But, I'm not sure if I hear it when there's a passenger with me, which makes me wonder if it's seat-related or seatbelt-related (or, if they simply block the sound from getting to me). I need to do more investigating.

We have snow here, too, and I wonder if it's partly a result of the cold weather. I don't think everything flexes the same as when it's hot out, so it'll be interesting to see if it goes away in the warm weather.

Would love to hear if people have found and solved these issues, though, so let's keep this thread current.
