Rattling and grinding noises from under cab?

I have a 1996 Silverado ext cab 5.7 4wd and there is a rattling noise that comes from underneath the cab. At first I thought it was bad ball joints but they are fine. What else should I check? Also " not sure if it's related" but there is also a grinding noise that comes from underneath when I'm accelerating from a stop. If anybody could help me figure out these problems it would be much appreciated.

broken torsion bar isolators or converter heat shield. as for the grinding make sure your gear boxes at properly filled.
