Hello,

all of a sudden my heated seats dont work!

they worked fine on friday...

so...i push the button to do heated seats and the lights(for heated seats) quickly go on as i push them, then quickly go off.

i try again, and you can hear this click somewhere inside the dash but nothing happens.

any ideas?

thanks

i think you have a burned out heater element; it took me about 3 hrs to replace; it's definitely do-able for the average guy

Exactly right and an easy fix without having to remove the seat if you dont want to.
You have to pull the bottom cushion out of the channel and pull it back and you will see the heating element underneath. You will probably see it burnt in the area where the short is from. This element is wired to the passenger seat heater so when it shorts it will knock out the passenger seat as well.

Unplug the element and rip the pad off the velcro strip. Attach the new on and reconnect and put leather seat cushion back on.

by the element from an online supplier and not through the dealer. It's the difference between $70 and $400

Good luck
