So my Yukon came without an overhead DVD, so the rear A/C panel looked like this...
I wanted to be able to add an input to my aftermarket stereo...
My install - Pioneer DD & Headrest & iPad
So I purchased the rear A/C plate with the A/V inputs. However, there's a factory plug on the back with 6 connections that absolutely couldn't be used for anything other than the factory plug. I removed the A/V piece from plastic, opened it up, removed the factory plug and soldered on some RCA's.
Here's the factory 6 pin plug removed and the back of the connector...
Here it is after putting it back together...
And the final product (for now)...
Now I can hook up any video/game/etc. system I want to any of the 3 LCDs I have in the truck...
