You can try to recalibrate it but sounds like the rear temp door actuator is stuckMy AC in rear blows hot. Front is ice cold. 07 Tahoe LTZ.
It shouldn’t be that hard? I thought you just have to remove the 3rd row seats which pop right out then get the side panel off that goes around the rear passenger window? They come off easily as far as the actuator I don’t know exactly where it is and how hard it is to get to the bolts but the front one was pretty simple to changeomg i looked at a youtube video and this is a big job to get to the blend door actuator. i guess i will turn the front i high for the rear passengers. lol
what part? if the rear lines under the truck are cold after it has been running for a while then all you likely need is the actuator, this would be the 1st one right after the fan, 2-3 screws and you are back in business. once you have the rear passenger trim panel off you can see the blend door position, the actuator is not cheap if it is a money issue you can set it to cold and unplug the actuator and you are good till winter.took it apart and apparently the part that needs to be replaced is behind the unit which will take much more work then I can do. You pose a risk of bending or breaking the ac lines that come from underneath the truck. I will just do with out it. Thanks fellas!!!!
