Rear Brakes not working??

Everytime I come to a stop it feels as if all of the stopping is being done by the front brakes. I go through rotors and pads like crazy. Could this be my proportion valve for the braking system? Thanks

The rear brakes always need adjusting. The adjusters could be junk. Pull the drums apart and check them out....if need be rebuild them

They are supposed to be "self-adjusting" right? I know the adjuster has a little gear thing on it where you could manually do so. I will check them out. Thanks

they adjust when the truck backs up and you apply the brakes...works really well...wait no it doesn't
