Hey I got into a small accident last weekend and fortunately all I have to do is replace the rear bumper cover. My insurance deductible is $500 and the estimate they (State Farm) gave me is $880. My Tahoe didn't come with reverse sensors and I would like to add them. What kind of additional money am I looking at spending?

Additional info (if it matters):
I have an Avic-z130BT installed with PAC-OS4 and review camera.

The cover should be about the same price.

The sensors have nothing to do with your stereo.

That being said, I don't think you can add the factory sensors. You would have to do an aftermarket kit. I'll try to find the thread on it...

Yeah, adding oem reverse sensors is going to be cost prohibitive.

They are programmed into the computer, the speakers, light modules on the inside of the D pillars, and harnessed under the truck ... like everything else it is possible, but not really $$$ viable.

But since you have to replace the rear bumper anyway, why not upgrade to a sensorless escalade one. :)

Oh, if you can't find a sensorless one, you could also get an escalade bumper and sensors without having them operational.

Marcus honestly I've actually never seen one in person, I've just been told that they exist. :)

But like I said, you can get the one with the sensor holes, add the sensors to fill the holes (gigitty), and leave them unconnected.

You have a linkie to the ebay one you are referring to?
