rear bumper step pad

Has anyone tried to remove this step pad. and if so how the heck is it done. I have the denalli one on there and i want to put the original one back on. I bought it likes this and dont really like the look. please help:emotions122:

Sounds like he's asking if he can have the one you're taking off...

Anyway, there's a post on the other site about removing this. Seems to me there are bolts on the underside that need to be undone. I'll see if I can find the post...

I cant speak for the new gen, but the genII black plastic pulls up off the bumper itself on the rear.

yea, i thought you were talking nbs, not nnbs. I just looked at one and it appears to be like the moldings, double sided tape?

I've done it, it was a pain to find the bolts; you have to feel for them and they are not visible whatsoever. They're way up under the gas cap on the left side, and same place on the right side; 3 to each side. Very hard to get to. But once you finally get them off then you can remove the bumper cover, and then there are tabs that need to be popped out of place, and you will also have to cut the ties that hold the bumper sensors in place as well.

It took me a couple of hours to do it.

You need to remove the bumper cover to do it. When the body shop next door to my work repainted my bumper cover it took them like 5 min to remove the bumper and the black piece
