Howdy folks. Name is Sam - wife and I are looking at a 2013 Yukon XL Denali, but before we pull the trigger we're wanting to know more about what is 'under' the rear cargo area (behind the 3rd row seat) besides the spare tire? We're wanting to haul a bunch of gear, and we're going to need additional cargo hooks back there, and I'm just wanting to ask if anyone has ever had the carpet up behind the 3rd row seats and/or drilled through the floor...and what is under there, if anything, besides the spare tire?
Is it just sheet metal back there and no problem drilling through the floor and bolting in additional D-rings, or are there fuel evap hoses or electrical conduits or such that might get in the way?
Tried searching the forums for specifics about 'drilling through the rear floor' but came up short. Naturally we'll remove the spare tire before doing any drilling, but just looking for additional thoughts or advice before buying an entire machine only to find out additional cargo points are a no-go.
Appreciate any thoughts.
Cheers,
- Sam
