Rear Door Not Opening

Anyone ever experience this ? My rear hatch Wont open at all not even the rear glass.. How to go about fixing this im thinking the Motor is out ?

I had the same problem. Motor is bad and there is no key hole to unlock the door manually. If you search ebay there is a guy selling these randomly for like 60 bucks. Otherwise it is 300 at the dealer.

On my 2006 the rear hatch/door has no key hole or exterior way to unlock/lock the door if the motor inside fails. There is the handle at the bottom and the hatch button but when the motor fails the door will not unlock or lock depending on when it failed. I have seen other Tahoe's with a key hole in the hatch button but mine does not have one. You can remove the interior panel of the door to get at the motor. The plastic can be fragile so be careful. Here is the link to the motor I purchased. I guess I should say actuator instead of motor here.

super easy fix, i just fixed my suburban about a month ago, got the part ebay

ill post the link when i get home, big brother has it blocked here at work

like 30 min max to repair

Can you guys tell me how you got the old actuator off. I got the one off ebay and have been trying to install it but I can't get the old one off.

well guys i finally fixed the actuator, and it was a easy instal, i replaced the whole mechanism. Glad to report the the rear hatch is finally functional now
