Rear door power opens then power closes and will not open in manual position

My wife's 2007 Yukon Denali is having some issues. A few weeks ago the switch on the handle of the rear door appears to have stopped working, however the key fob and interior button to open the door still worked. And now when I open the door it will open all the way and immediately begin to close electronically.

the switch can be replaced if this is the case
