Rear door speakers- no sound- possible fix

Recently I had no sound coming from my rear speakers. Then I read post #5 from http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/no-sounds.12532/

I made sure my rear audio control was turned off, but I still had no sound. I played with it a little, then suddenly had sound from the left speaker. Played some more, then I had sound from the right, but not the left speaker. Eventually I got sound from both speakers.

I found numerous threads/questions about a no sound condition from the rear speakers, only one suggestion in my searches that it might be the rear sound control panel. However, there was no further mention about it. I suspect there are relays in there that shut the sound off when the rear system is turned on, but they seem to stick "off" sometimes. I thought I mention this in case some one else has this problem. If you cycle the rear system, eventually both speakers will come back on. Perhaps it's fairly easy to replace the relays, if that is the trouble. I'm not sure, I've got more important things to work on for now.

Just to report back, I picked up a replacement rear audio control from a wrecker, not because of the cutting out, but because one of the switches was smashed. On the replacement unit, one of the microswitches was not working, so I decided to open the unit to transfer the good button to my existing unit. When I opened it up, I saw that there were, indeed, relays. Incidently, after working the relays a few times, they've been perfect for the last week and the rear speakers are not cutting out.

Hmmm..... is this for an 03+ truck? I have an extra one of those controls lying around the shop. I took it apart and could not find any relays?????
