Does anyone know why or how I can test my rear door lift? The door unlocks and the window opens like it should but the door will not lift up. If I need a new motor where is the best or cheapest place to get it? 2007 Yukon

Yes it was a power lft gate untill today. I removed the plastic that covers the lift motor and there is power going to a module that is mounted on the side of the lift assembly, but the power does not exit the module when the key fob switch ic used or by the switch on the door itself. Wires also go to another module that is located right below the rear speaker. Not sure but it looks like it might be the communications item between the key fob and the lift motor module. I think there may be something wrong with the lift motor module. Any ideas

Make sure that the switch up by the front dome lights is not switched to the off position. If it is, the door will unlock, but the lift motor will not function.

Well now the door wont unlock or lft at all, it was unlocking before and it could be opened by hand. Now all that works is the window.
