I just lowered my Escalade with a 2/4 drop. I noticed in the rear the bump stops are actually sitting on the axle. The truck bottoms out when I hit a dip in the road. It don't it all the time. I try to baby it when I drive it. I will be doing the free travel mod in a few months. By me driving it, will it hurt anything or damage anything in the rear until I cut the bump stop brackets off?

Nope, won't hurt anything. Did you at least trim your bump stops so you have some travel before they contact the axle pad?

Like the others guys said, you should be good but, I'd probably get it done a little quicker than a few months. Its going to get old very fast.

trim or replace your bumpstops for now. Should help until you have the chance to do the free travel mod.
