Rear Drum to Disk Brake Upgrade

I have a 94 GMC Sierra 1500 2-Wheel Drive that has drum brakes in the rear and I would like to convert the brakes to disk. The drums are just always out of adjustment and are out of round. I do not want to go nuts as far as money is concerned buying a conversion kit. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if so what parts did they use? Thanks in advance.

Read through this thread, post 10 has one homies parts list. Lots of good info. I think 300-500 bucks. Going to get into this after Christmas.

A grand lol you can go get stock parts from Autozone and be in it for less.

Are there any other vehicles that have a disc rear end that would bolt to ours? Specifiaclly mine; 1999 airbagged Yukon.

I can get any rear for 150 at Palm Beach JYards...

do i have a different truck than you? it says for 5 lug only, with 10" drum. im pretty sure all our trucks are 6x5.5 with 11" drum

No not all of them are, these years the 2wd had 5 lug axles.
