Is that an XL? What is that black plastic piece under the rear bumper? I noticed this on a Yukon XL yesterday but I don't have that at all on my Tahoe. Anyone know what it is for?

That is called a "modesty panel" it conceals the receiver hitch box and trailer
plug connector.

Hi mine is not an XL . Thats the bottom plastic balance that runs all the way side to side under the bumper

Sorry for high-jacking your thread. The back end of your Yukon looks great!!!

I was talking about the plastic valance from side to side, not the rear hitch close-out cover. I wonder why they left that black piece off the Tahoe/Suburbans. After looking at mine the only thing that would help conceal is the spare tire.

Looks good, but I would have saved the $50 and taken off the Yukon and made it clean!
