Just the other day, I shut the rear hatch in my 07 yukon and the plastic trim above the plate which houses the lights broke off! Apparently the right side has a clip or something that is missing and the previous owner glued the piece back on. The left side is still attached. Anyone know where to get the clips or is it all one piece that needs replaced?! What is the piece called ? Thanks guys- the dealer screwed me and said its not their responsibility so I need to take care of it ASAP!! Only had the truck 3 days. Help!!

It called an "applique."
You more than likely need to get it replaced. Your best bet it to buy it online, then take it to a body shop for paint and install.

You need GM part number 15915678
I know because I have ordered it and installed it because I like the way it looks on my Tahoe over the Tahoe applique with the emblem.
I recommend getting it from your dealer and having the paint/install it for you since it is urgent. If you get it from where I got mine (www.gmpartsdirect.com), it will take a week or more just to reach you.
