Rant over.
A lot of guys seem to miss one of the connectors on the transfer case when removing it. As for electrical connectors, these seem to cause the most grief. There are other things about doing a rear main that cause grief, but if I can be prepared for this one maybe I can eliminate a tiny fraction of my grief. I know I'll certainly have a lot of it. I hope to have the electrical connectors clean off from the case before dropping it, just in case it drops too fast and rips something. So, here's what I can tell from my factory service manual:
On the transfer case:
1) Front propshaft speed sensor.
Location: Front of TC, Driver Side
2) Rear propshaft speed sensor.
Location: Rear of TC, Passenger Side
3) Transfer Case Encoder motor (C1) (Motor Control/Locking Solenoid Connector)
Location: top of TC
4) Transfer Case Encoder motor (C2) (Encoder Motor Connector)
Location: front of TC, Driver Side
5) Vehicle Speed Sensor
Location: Rear of TC, Driver Side
In addition:
Harness Bracket on top of TC
To the others who have done this before, have I missed anything electrical on the transfer case?
