Turn on right blinker and it flashes 3 times at normal pace and then flashes fast. “Right Rear Turn Indicator Failure” shows up on dash. Here’s what I have tried to diagnose. All lights work. No issue with four way flashers. Pulled tail light off and confirmed that back up bulb was fine. Turn signal and brake are LED and all light up as expected. I pulled the left tail light off and swapped them. The problem stayed with the right side when left tail light is plugged in and right side worked fine plugged in on left side. So the tail light itself is not the problem.

Took my search to the fuse box under hood. Pulled every fuse related to rear lights and was unable to locate a fuse that would make the blinkers stop flashing??? Is there not a fuse for the turn signals?

What else do I try? Just rolled 38,000 miles. Of course this couldn’t have happened a couple months ago.

My tail lights are factory and I was able to determine that they weren’t the problem by plugging them into the other side.

Were you able to ever find a fuse for the turn signals? I’ve pulled everything that resembled the turn signal and never found one that would make them stop flashing.

I have a '16 Tahoe LS with the same right rear turn signal failure. On mine the upper half of the turn signal does not flash, only the lower half. I took the light out and checked all the connections (didn't find anything loose), reinstalled the light and it worked for about 2 days and then did the same thing. As far as I can tell the light is an LED and it does not come apart so I assume the whole assembly needs to be replaced to the tune of more than $600. I saw online that GM extended the warranty on 15-16 Yukons but not Tahoe's. I have also seen repairs for it on YouTube which involves drilling a hole in the back side of the light and soldering the circuit board. I'm assuming it's a common problem though i did a search on here and didn't come up with much. I also saw there are some aftermarket tail lights on ebay for the tahoes..... Anyone have any experience or feed back on this ?

My money is on the issue being a bad (or marginal) ground - Might check the ground for the fuse block for the turn signals. Good luck!

X2 on the ground issue. Being a 17 isn’t it still under warranty?

I know this is a old post but wondering if the OP ever figured out the problem or has anyone else had the Right Rear Turn Indicator Failure also. I changed tail lights and it still does it. Factory LED and all lights are flashing. Front working perfect.
