Has anyone tried swapping out the rear view mirror with the manual dim switch to the auto dim model? Just wondering if the wires are populated in the connector or I will have to add them. I have to one with manual dimming flip lever and on star.

thanks,

all that manual switch does is turn the mirror up so the light is not shining in your eye's. didn't know those even existed anymore

Yes the wires are in the headliner above the map lights. Just need to pop off the lens and use a screwdriver to unscrew the overhead console. The plug should be laying right there. Just did it on my
SSV.

I wish there was an auto dim without onstar but doesn’t seem to be a thing for gm.
