Rear view mirror compass issue

My rear view mirror compass/temp display went out and wont come back on. checked it with my multimeter and it has power to the mirror and the ambient air temp sensor in the grille. I even went as far taking apart the mirror and checking it for continuity and power to the display. As far as I can tell everything is working the way it should just no display.
I'm kinda at my wits end. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Well not to one up you but i also have a problem with my compass... I think i caused my problem though.... my compass/temp will not display either and i know there is power to it... i also have lost the actual fog light indicator and my cruise control indicator in my instrument cluster. I am a noob when it comes to installs and i am sure i undoubtedly knocked all three out somehow. If anyone reads this and has input to go with jhousers problem i would appreciate it. (not sure if i should have started a new thread).

Anyways on a diff note... thanks to the mods and everyone on this site. Its kick ass and i have only been on for a little bit but everyone seems really cool. Thanks for the answers and hard work. Cheers

It is turned on. When I hold down the temp button it turns the green light on and off, but the display does nothing.

Ok well solved my problem but dont think it will help out (kinda ashamed to admit it). I used a fuse adapter for my remote on wire and neglected to install a second fuse. That solved my dashlight problem and my compass... Rookie mistake.... Balls

Yea I have the same issue on my 2007 Tahoe where all of the onstar buttons etc. work just fine but the LED doesn't light up at all or show anything whatsoever. I wish I could plug one in that works and know if that is the issue...Has anyone here remedied their issue?

I called the dealership and they quoted me at $576.00 for a replacement, holy crapola!!! Does anyone know where they might be attainable for cheaper? I'd even take a refurb if it works...

I have the same problem with the compass/temp display on my mirror in my 2001 Suburban.It comes on sometimes and other times it does not. I'm really not that pressed about it not working or only working sometimes.
