My display in the mirror stays on and works for some minutes every time I turn the car on, later on it starts to flicker and then it just shuts off, Still auto dim works. It has done this since I got it (not to long ago). Has any one else had this problem? any tips? can some one point me out to the fuse of the mirror please would really appreciate it. Oo and the mirror has two buttons Comp and Temp.

I assume that you are referring to the compass/ temp display fading out until it completely turns off, correct? If so, I posted up the fix for it a while back on here, let me find it!

Mmm the post sounds about the same exactly problem as im having. I guess ill reflow all the 6 joints and try it out. Still I don't own a solder or I don't know any one that has one guess I'll have to get one.

So its just this 6 correct?

Yes indeed, it's those 6 joints that you will need to reflow the solder! In the pic, the upper right circle you can actually see his crack in the solder where as mine it was a bit harder to see but you could still see it! The guy that I was helping in that thread didn't see a crack in any of his and only did a few spots and was still having problems, he did tear it all apart again and redid all 6 and it solved his problem! Do all 6 and I'm sure it will fix your problem! Too bad you aren't in Oregon, I'd fix it for you if you were!

Good luck and check back with your results!

Ok ill do all 6. Now I'm going to start asking every one if they own a solder that I could barrow, Still how do you remove the mirror from the windshield? does it just slide out to the top or something? and the cables? do they just unplug like any other?

Ill post the results when I get it all done just that I don't own a solder so might take some time to get one still I will post the results.

I believe you have to pop off the cover for the base that attaches to the windshield which will uncover a set screw that holds the mirror to the windshield. Loosen the screw and the mirror should just slide up and off the windshield, then unhook the harness plug off the mirror and it should be in your hands to disassemble and resolder! Just read through that link in my original post, it should spell it all out pretty well!
