rear view mirror electronics

this may be a stupid question, but the little spot on my 03' Yukon mirror, where the temperature and direction shows up does not work correctly.

i know this is really minor but it's one of those little annoying things. it showed up the other day for a few hours but hasnt come on since and the buttons on the mirror dont seem to do anything.

any suggestions?

Loose or corroded connection? Have you had any leaks that you know about or had your windshield replaced recently? Maybe you just have a bad mirror?

I think the part is called ambient air temp sensor located behind the grill.

Thanks I needed to know this too! Having the same issue in the 03 Yukon!
