Hello!! I am new to the Forum and am looking for some help! Come to the right place right?! My issue is a 2009 Tahoe rear wiper. When you move the switch to intermittent it works fine, then move the switch to continuous and it again does intermittent. It will work continuous when you push the washer button. Everything is fine, works great except it does intermittent when it should be continuous. Thanks for any ideas!

Mine is intermittent slow and a bit less-slow, but not continuous. When you push the wash button on the end it does a wash cycle of several wipes and then stops. That's by design with many vehicles.
Why I'm not sure because I find it annoying. The I hate when these design engineers think that they are making life easier for us. I believe that I am capable of knowing when to turn off the wiper after I hit the washer button. What's worse is when you're driving along on a sunny day and hit it by accident and then you're "that guy" with the wipers going for no reason. That's just one step below having someone see you pick your nose at a stop light. For that matter, why don't they have the turn signals cycle off so you don't drive for ten miles with it on? My old Yamaha XS1100 ha that feature. It rocked. Sheesh. Come on Detroit.

The settings seem to be the same intermittent speed. Was recently traveling in Ohio, Indiana, etc and it poured. Would have liked to have continuous on the rear, seems a bit odd to have two intermittent settings. The manual says the second position turns on the rear wiper.

My 07 is the same, both are intermittent, not much difference in the speed.

I'm expecting to replace my turn signal switch within the next year. Maybe that will make a difference.
