Rebuild - Need Ideas

Hey guys, so after two days of screwing around I can't get my truck back in running shape, and I do have to pull the block cus it either cracked the block internally, warped a head, or lost a gasket and need to drain the entire block cus the oils in the antifreeze and the antifreeze is in the oil.

So I'm setting a budget of 1000-1200$ and need to know what you would do in terms of a rebuild, I can put it all together no problems but as for how to achieve the desired out come I don't know enough about the specifics. I want a great daily driver that has a hell of a lot of power. Don't worry about the tranny or transfer case Ill look after that, I just want to know about the guts of it all.

I went with a crate motor last February. I figure between the cost of having the block reworked, raplacing the timing chain, oil pump, cleaned the heads, valve job, etc it would just be cheaper to go with the crate motor.
