Good morning gentlemen, I have a relay on my 2000 Yukon that is constantly clicking then stops for a while, then clicks again. It will stop mid click when I apply the brakes, but according to the manual it is (L Lock), so I don't know what applying brakes would have to do with a lock relay. Any suggestions? 20200208_115424.jpg

Did you try unplugging it and inspection of the terminals and where terminals enter at the relay base? Check where it plugs in at the box for any dirt/grit/burn look. May just be starting to go out and can't make up it's mind yet if it wants to or not. Make sure you inspect at the box to see if any of the female connectors are trying to push back from being held in place. When you put it back in make sure to clean the male spades and slam it home.

this is how your fuse panel is shown to me when i pull it up on numerous locations. the relay your referring to is just called unlock and i cant find any reference to it. assuming its either door unlock or shifter unlock. gm has a habit of running multiple curcuits through the brake switch. either as a safety feature or just being stupid. pull the relay and check to see if you can operate the power doors. its most likely for the doors but i cant locate specific information. if you feel comfortable doing it you can also try unplugging the brake pedal switch. a gm brake pedal switch acting up wouldn't suprise me. or gm routing something through or off the switch also wouldn't suprise me. hopefully someone else who has the specific information will chime in. anyway if you unplug the brake pedal/stop light switch and it stops and we can locate a schematic for that circuit it might point to a problem.

Would it be related to, like James says, when you step on the brake pedal to shift from Park to either drive or reverse, the door locks actuate to the locked position? Just seeing what sticks.

You are correct on that being Unlock, thanks! The doors will not lock when shifted down from park, but will lock about 1/8 mile down the road. The doors also won't unlock with the key fob unless I press the Unlock button 5-7 times, and batteries are brand new in key fob. I'll try the recommended methods you suggested and report back.

Many vehicles will lock the doors when you reach a certain speed, like 10 or 15 mph. That would explain your doors locking 1/8 mile down the road. Do they unlock when you put the vehicle into park?

Mine will lock when I shift from Park to Drive or Reverse and if I unlock it then it will lock again when I hit around 15 mph. If is locked it will unlock as soon as I shift to Park, even while engine is running.

They unlock when put in park, but the relay is still acting crazy.
