Remote Start quit working

Interesting problem came up yesterday; my remote start quit working and the engine light came on. Checked all the normal stuff, fuses, wiring, fluids all was normal. After several starts and driving the engine light still was there and the remote start still wouldn't work. Remote was fine and the doors would lock and unlock with no problem. Decided to separate the fuse block from all the plugs. Unlocked the handles and separated the block from the plugs. Finally figured out how to remove the block completely and found one of the plugs underneath was not clipped down like all the rest. Got it seated and the retaining clips holding it and then re-installed the fuse block. After closing the hood full function has been restored to the remote start and the engine light was no longer lit as well. Only other thing was I had to reset the clock and calendar on the radio.

Has anyone else come across this problem before?

have ur check engine light looked at and when u get it fixed ur remote start will work again.

Yeah, the remote start is disabled when the check engine light is on for any reason.
