Remote Start Quit

02 Yukon Denali with after market DEI remote start / alarm set up. Not sure if professional install or not. Remote start worked great for about a week, now all it does is turn the engine over but it won’t actually start. Replaced battery hoping that would fix it - Nope - Viewed TONS of youtube videos on how to reprogram my after market DEI fob but still can’t seem to get the right combination to make it actually start the truck. Oh make no mistake, I’ve tried it so many times at 1 point the lock and unlock was out of sync. Finally got that right but not with the starting option. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Did you just buy the vehicle? I would personally either try to contact what I'm guessing is a previous owner, or seeing what model it is, and looking for support from the company.

just take it by a stereo shop those guys also do alarms they should be able to fix you up

Bought from a previous owner who knew nothing. Took the dash out to try and find the name and model number. Did find a manual online to download but it’s kinda complicated. At one point when I tried to program it from the manual it completely was out of sync, got it back to at least unlocking and locking the doors
There is a local custom truck accessories store here in my little town- I’ll give that a try. Thanks for the reply.

Do you have any dash lights on? The oem remote start won’t work if you have a CEL on but it also won’t turn over. Nothing happens.

My very poor guess is something to do with the whole thing. If it starts with the key but just turns over with the remote something is cutting off fuel or spark. I’m with Wes. Stereo shop if you use the remote start. I’m guessing the PO Didn’t give you the original fob?

Praise The Lord we did get original fob! Of course it’s not remote start

That’s great not sure where you live. If a cold area I’d fix it. I’m in Virginia and use remote start a lot. If you don’t think you’ll use it maybe remove it and the aftermarket alarm and use the factory fob. You might even find the stereo shop can make the fob do both.
