Remove Door Handles

i purchased a new set of door handles and tried getting the old ones off. got all the bolts off but cannot figure out how to get the piece that actually attaches to the door that opens the door when pulled. does anybody have any pictures r step by step instructions on how to remove oem door handles?

There is a little plastic clip that grips it near the end of it. If you feel from the top where it is attached to the handle, move your hand down the metal rod until you feel a plastic clip, and you'll be able to feel how it opens.
