Alright guys, so you convinced me to finally take off my side moldings. It took me all of today to do it, but I'm done and love it now! I think it looks great! Here's the process I went through to do it.

Tools Used:
Fishing Line
Pliers
Hair Dryer
Gloves
Metal Putty Knife
Electrical tape
3M Stripe Off drill bit/head - MOST IMPORTANT/EASIEST TOOL EVER!!
Car Wash
Turtle Wax
Terry Cloths

Process:
1. Put Electrical tape around side molding corners and halfway under molding corners.
2. Heated up the side molding corners.
3. Cut the corners 3m tape with the fishing line
4. Pry Up the corners w/ the putty knife
5. While prying up the corner w/putty knife I grabbed a piece of the molding with the pliers and gripped tightly.
6. Once you have a firm grasp of the side molding just peel off strongly until it all comes off.
7. Repeated this process on the other 3 moldings
8. Buzz/Burn off all the excess 3m tape left behind with the 3M Stripe Off drill Wheel. Don't worry it doesn't take off any of the car paint.. just keep it consistent and moving.
9. Hand wash and scrub your car really well
10. Apply turtle wax and buff really strongly.. let dry.. then wiped off with terry cloth.
11. Stand back and look at your sick new looking ride! :)

Here are some pics of my car after it was all done and one of it before with the side molding still on.. sorry there not that good because the sun was going down. I'll take more and post them tomorrow. Thank you for all that helped me with my questions and gave me pointers!! You know what your talking about!! :)

haha yah... I have no clue why I didn't do it sooner! You'll love it

You guys payin 30 bucks for the stripe wheel?

worse then that.. I had to go to Napa and pay 43.75 total for mine!! They wouldn't let me price match from online which was like $22 everywhere! A load of crap if you ask me.. but WAY worth it!! It made a 4 hour job of picking at tape into a 45 minute zip

I just did mine also, these trucks never should of had that crap on there

I agree... they just wanted us to have something to work on

Thats def. a good idea... it wouldve been a lot nicer to pay $22 for it.

Thanks man!! I'm so glad I just said screw it and went for it... Once I had the pliers latched down just peeled it back haha. To cover the bolt faces you should go to your local hardware store... they sell little black caps that you could just glue on top of the bolt faces. Put up a pic of your truck! I wanna see it!
