I am going to have my hoe tuned when i get my headers on in the morning. I talked to the place and they said that removing trq management wouldnt be the best idea for my tranny. Its only got 84k on it and had a pretty easy life befor i got ahold of it. I would put a transgo shift kit in it or whatever but what would it cost to put in 1 of those? I dont want to personally put 1 of those in. I only plan on having this vehicle for another couple years till i graduate and get a job to buy a duramax. What do you guys think?

If you're putting the shift kit in then go for it. I don't have a shift kit and I like mine at about 25% of the stock TM.

I believe my tune left me with ~30% torque management. I have had the tune for about a year, and just installed a Superior shift kit when I did a trans service 2 weeks ago. I only got the kit installed because I plan on keeping the truck for a while and I wanted to beef it up while I had the pan dropped.

I would say you would be fine without the kit, but I wouldn't remove the torque management completely.

100% removed here..................

What motor do you have?

How much stock torque management is put on a stock Denali with the 6.0? I've been thinking about a tune and would like to remove some of the torque management. It's a 2001 in case that makes a difference.

For those that have removed the torque management, how drastic of a difference is it?
