I had an NBS esky shift handle that I dyed with SEM leather product to math my tan interior. So on the new one I masked everything off and matched the section in between the chrome edge, and the +/- buttons. Since it was a burb shifter it was just super smooth black plastic, probably made to feel like leather. No stitching on either side. Which I actually like. So I sanded it down and hit it with self etching primer and then three coats of SEM leather dye to match it to my light tan Denali interior. It came out looking really good I think. Install was a bit of a pain only because my NBS esky handle didn’t want to come out of the metal base that it sits in, on the column. The torx screw came out easily. But with the help of a cheap hair dryer I picked up a few weeks back for a detail job, the NBS esky handle finally wiggled loose and I pulled it out. Phew... then I plugged in the NNBS handle and made sure the tow haul function worked with the key on. Forgot to take a pic of that but everything works as it should! I’m stoked I finally have this done and it looks awesome! Here’s a couple shots with everything back together!
Sorry for the dark photos. It’s snowing like crazy right now and finished up sitting in my truck in the dark with the doors closed to get this project done!! Haha. I’ll post a shot in the morning when I head out to work of the handle and the tow haul lit up in daylight.
