Rental Tahoe

My wife and I are headed to Alaska in 3 weeks and are set to rent a tahoe/expedition when we arrive. I tried requesting a tahoe and to make sure its not a base model. They said there is no say in that. Is that true? Maybe I was talking to someone who knows nothing? I would have thought 3 weeks out, you'd be able to pick? WIll they have like 30 of them there to choose from? It will be in Anchorage, so I would think there would be a good variety?

There isn't a say to have a top of the line reserved. When you get there you choose among the available ones. New cars are well equipped now days anyway though
