I just repaired my Compressor in the rear of my 2004 Yukon Xl Denali and it runs like its suppose to. I start it up and it runs for 7 seconds about 5 seconds after the vehicle is started. It runs like its suppose to. It doesn't stay on which would indicate no leak. Is there anything else I can do to get this light go away. What else can I check like the leveling sensors but I don't know where they are located and what to do if I did find one. Thanks in advance I truly appreciate your help on this website you are all on my friends list. Thank you so much.

Cycling on and off fast would indicate its low on Freon. So if it was working and not correctly now there is a leak. Depending on how bad the leak is you can replace the seals at the fittings. My suggestion is use a UV leak detector freon bottle and get a UV light (black light) to check it. It may take several day for it to leak enough to detect it though.

Fill system use one bottle of UV detector and the rest quality freon. Then check in a few days with UV light it will glow, like a rave party, where the leak is.

I think he is talking about the AutoRide air suspension...

You really need to find out what code the system is throwing, that way you will know exactly what needs to be fixed. Then you can just stop guessing what it might or might not be.

It worked great went I first changed the Air Ride Compressor and it ran for 5 seconds then stop like the old one it used to do and now I need to crawl under the Denali to look for any hoses that have air leaks with my ultrasound tool that can detect the smallest of air leaks or cracks that could be leaking air but first I will check the shocks, I spent $189 on the compressor so I am going to get this repaired to the right specifications until I have no other options so I will get this working or Im going to User this compressor as a small bomb like the do when the launch anvils.

I connected my auto ride reader didn't help for SHPit because I have a cheap code reader that was made by someone's butt, works about the same also.

What makes you think it is leaking? AutoRide almost always runs every time the vehicle is started. It should run for a few seconds, then shut off. If you stay near the compressor, you can actually hear the exhaust solenoid activate and let some of the air back out for a quick second. I think the system is just checking itself, so that is normal operation.

Yeah, the cheap code readers will not pull the codes. Usually, a shop will be able to tell you this or the dealer. They will often pull the codes for you for free. Just ask, it won't hurt anything.

Sounds to me like it is running correctly, it should cycle on for a few seconds when you turn your truck on and then turn off if it doesn't need to fill the air bags on the shock! Not sure about the light you still have on because I haven't had that problem in my truck. What you need to do is load the back of your truck with a few folks or even hook it up to a heavy trailer and see if the compressor kicks back on to level out the back to know if it's working correctly!

I told him to do that in one of the other threads he made but never reported back. You need to go to a dealer or someone with a tech II scan tool and have the code(s) read. The autoride system is fairly complex. There are at least 2 sensors per wheel(one on the shocks and one for the auto leveling/dampening) in addition to other components.

If you don't get the service ride control message then your setup is fine... Relax!! :)
It's not suppose to stay on that long only for a couple of second or so and if it does then you have a problem.

Its really acting weird

When I start the vehicle the compressor runs for a couple seconds then turns off? Then when I go for a drive for about 10 blocks and get out and the compressor is running non-stop, I turn it off then on again it works right it turn's on for 5 seconds and turns off again and then I turn it off and it works again when it stops off again after 7 seconds. I drive again and when I stop its stays running again non stop, it stays on when I stop until I turn off the vehicle and Starting up again I hear the compressor run for 10 seconds and stop again. I just need some help on what my next steps I need to take because it works when I start my vehicle runs for 5 seconds and stops after a few seconds and after driving the vehicle for a short amount of time and get out listen to my air ride compressor and its on until I turn off the vehicle? Any Help would be much appreciated. Plus my service air ride warning is on all the time. I haven't had a ride where it has been off. Thank you and I appreciate you guys trying to help its much appreciated. God Bless
