Anybody know if is possible or a reasonable method to change the wiring harness firewall grommet?

I took mine apart about 6 months ago and fished through a coax cable for a CB radio antenna. Now I need to fish through lines for a Wideband O2 setup to tune my custom 6.0L build.

I previously ripped the grommet and thought this time might be easier to just get a new grommet if possible. Anybody replaced it before?

Besides removing all the wires and then just swap it out, the only thing I can think of is cutting it along one side and split it open to go around wires and then tape back together. Don't they make a grommet like that that is already split and has a way to LOCK back together?

I am just being uber ****. It ripped at collar along wiring bundle (not visible in photo). I electeical taped it there to reinforce. Just kind of wonder if there is a solution for this grommet.

You could split it, install it, duct tape the split and then use something like Flex Seal to seal it up. It was never completely sealed with the wires running thru it.

That is one type of item I like to get when at UPullit. I agree with PMWVietVet- slice and seal, but use a urethane. Bonds to rubber better.
You also may want to run your antenna cable away from the power wires. Improves noise alot.

I am just starting my aftermarket audio build and spent over an hour trying to find a way to run some power wires into the engine compartment. Watched a few vids of these guys poking a hole in the top of that main rubber wire grommet and no way would I ever do that or try to push wires through it. I also do not want to drill any holes in the firewall but if I can't find a better way I might consider it they can always be plugged with black plastic caps. Would of thought this would be easy to find a way through the firewall but I don't see one.
