Replacements key and remote

Does anyone know where you can get replacement keys and remotes without paying dealer prices? I was told its $250 to replace them. I only have one set so I have to be careful.

I have had nothing but good luck getting extra keys and remotes on eBaY over the years. Usually at dirt cheap prices too. I have been able to program all the Ford keys myself, but I'm not sure how Tahoe Yukon and Suburban keys are programmed.

I bought an extra OEM key fob for my 07 Yukon. I think I paid 32 shipped. One hell of a deal if you ask me. And programming took like 30 seconds.

^^^Ditto, ebay. My last one was $32 and Google gave me reprogramming directions for free. Screw the dealership.

What year is your vehicle? If it is a 2011 or 2012 you will have to have the dealer re-program the vehicle for a new remote. You can re-program the vehicle to accept a new key (chipped) from the vehicle as long as you have one "good" key.

I bought my key fob off eBay brand new and works great however I bought a key for my Escalade on eBay and it worked to turn on the accessories and stuff but would not program to start my car so the guy sent me out a second key and same thing would turn everything on but wouldn't start it so I just went to the dealer and bought the key from them and the didn't charge me to cut it.
