I have the Bose factory setup, with a JVC Touch Screen with 2 Rockford Fosgate p2 12's.... so it sounds good but at high volumes the Bose door speakers will start to break-up/lose clarity and I am looking for something aftermarket.

I cannot find any info on the specs/ohm/wattage of the front door speakers in conjuction with the factory amp, (which is still hooked up in addition to the JVC head unit) and I am wondering if I can just buy some Infinity Reference or Polk's and plug & play? Some people have told me just replacing the door speakers on the Bose system is tricky without installing interfaces...

The factory amp is rated at 2 ohms. You can run 4 ohm speakers on it but will have less power. You would be better off running the speakers off the headunit. Also have you tried turning on the highpass filter on the headunit to remove some bass from the front speakers? Should help with the distortion.

Thats the problem, I have the X-over dialed in perfectly from the JVC, its just that I listen to my music a very high volumes sometimes, and when I do, it has to sound like I am at a concert sitting on the 3rd row. The Rockfords sound great but I am trying to step up the front door speakers and make it louder up front to match the subs...

Oh okay, well in that case you will also want to invest in some sound deadening for the front doors, to seal up the holes as best as possible, it will help alot with the midbass response. Also your going to want to add a amplifier for atleast the front speakers if you really want the volume your looking for.
