The fuel pump assembly has leaked for years, at the top where it apparently rusted. It drips when the engine is running.
Looking on rockauto and can't figure out which part number to get, or are there alternatives, or just easier to get something at Autozone or Advance Auto?

What is your VIN? Is it flex fuel or non? Flex fuel has 2 line going to the pump and non flex has 3.

You did not say what engine you have so I looked at all of them. If your 8th digit of VIN is a "Z" you have flex fuel and if is a "T" then is gas. The 5.3 engine had the two options. The 4.8, 6.0 and 6.2 engines do not show the flex fuel option. Just like @89Suburban said, the flex fuel has 2 lines out the top and the gas has 3 lines out the top. You also want to get the fuel level sender attached. Why they would offer the w/o fuel level sender is beyond me. Genuine GM parts numbers are MU1711 for flex fuel and MU2159 for the gas.

You want a GM OEM or Delphi pump. Delphi makes OEM parts.

Aftermarket store brand stuff is mostly krap.

Great that you guys with the newer rigs can get Genuine GM pumps. They no longer make them for my '04 Flex Fuel, so I went with an AC Delco Professional a couple of years ago.

My '08 is a FlexFuel (VIN "Z"). I installed a Delphi #FG1054.

Delphi FG0810 at RA if you ever need to replace again. Thankfully the Genuine GM was available for my gas engine when I did mine.
