I really want the larger touchscreen radio that the optioned LT's and all LTZ and higher trims have. 8" screen I believe. It also does that nifty trick of raising and has the little cubby behind it that will hold a pistol or other such sized device.

Can I retro-fit this into my LS? Dealership couldn't/wouldn't sell it to me with my LS and I sure as hell wasn't going to pay almost $10k more for that 1 feature. There were only 4 2015 Tahoes/Yukons on the island when I bought so I didn't have many choices.

Thanks, hoping you guys can help me figure this out. I'm weird in that I actually like OEM radios.

I really enjoy OEM products as well, however, honestly I would have to say the short answer to your question is yes it CAN be done. However, I would venture to say it would be cheaper to trade yours in on one that has it unless you can find one at a junkyard (highly unlikely) Will be a MAJOR PITA and very expensive for parts.

If it isn't meant to be, then oh well

I'm willing to pay around $1k for this. But it definitely isn't worth trading in on. I just miss the sound system my Escalade had. If I can't figure this out, I'll just install a Pioneer HU and get a decent speaker setup.

I will say I'm pretty happy with the radio operationally. The Bluetooth works pretty good and it works well with my iPhone. The 2012 Flex I had with Sync couldn't play well with iPhone
