SW CT,
One thing I have been wanting to do is improve nighttime vision while in reverse, mostly did it for hitching up any of my trailers. I first started out like many on here and added the Cree projector led reverse bulbs to my stock taillight housings the difference was noticeable, but I still wanted more light. Since I was purchasing a led lightbar for up front I decided on picking up a pair of 4 LED fog pattern lights. Being as the highest level of trim offered for the 2500 'burbs is LT I do not have the fancy rear bumper with the hitch cover or chrome strip, probably better that I do not have it cause the hitch cover would probably be kicking around my garage and have the risk of getting scratched. I finally decided that mounting them by the hitch in the recessed area would be best and add some protection to them, they are mounted up thru the bumper and thru the metal bar that supports the bumper cover. it was a PITA since I needed to just remove the step pad and not the whole bumper cover. I think it turned out great and the light these throw is perfect for my needs.

Nice mod! I've been thinking about doing something similar. I've got a real curvy driveway and more light I could project the better. Do you have any photos with them fired up on the screen and from outside?
