Hey guys I have a 2006 GMC Yukon. Originally I purchased this vehicle lowered.

I attempt to raise it to stock height, with aftermarket springs, I was told there is 2... Standard springs, and the ones with tow package. My Yukon has the tow package, so I opted for those. I raised the front with torsion bars adjustment in the original keys. I do have 20" wheels with 275/60R20 (33") tires, which makes it look like it was lifted a little.

The question is I am looking to buy shocks and I wondering if stock height would be OK. I am thinking I am still with in the stock ride height, but I do not want to buy the wrong parts. I will welcome advise and experience...

I am thinking of getting the Bilstein 5100 for $80.00 each shock. I was thinking the Bilstein 5160 but I was told those are more for off road applications. I just want a comfortable ride and shocks that will not wear down in a year or so... Any recommendations for better quality shocks?

Thanks guys!

Well I decided to go with the Bilstein 5100...

From the information I was able to research the 5160 give you a little more travel and run cooler off road when the shocks are constantly working... If I had a 4x4 and/or I did off road trails on a regular basis I would have highly consider the Bilstein 5160...

How do you like the 33" tall tire both dropped and now at stock ride height? Any rubbing issues?

I'm currently running a 285/50r20 and next set of tires I'm going to at least a 275/55r20 but I've been considering the 275/60r20 (33"). I'm at stock ride height now considering a 2/3 drop in the future.

Major difference between 5100's and 5125s or 5160 is warranty

5125/60's are 90 day warranty...

You picked the right one.
