Greetings all the way from Sweden.

Car is a 2008 Yukon xl and I've run into a problem I've never seen before.

Had the shop replace a rusted out servo pump. Picked the car up and I got half way before it started to shake, bog and smell like in unburned fuel. Pulled over and car had no power. Didn't even get up on the towing truck - had to be winched up. Had them tow the car back to the shop where it now has been since June. Scan gives general missfire errors and that one bank has low voltage on downstream O2.

They have checked the coils, sparks and ignition cables. Car runs great when cold - as soon as it gets warm passenger bank shuts down. All four cylinders dead. Pulled the cat to see if that was the culprit - same problem. Car gets warm then it dies.

Since I smell fuel coming out of the exhaust the injectors are working I guess, and internet search comes up blank. Sounds like an electrical problem but I'm in the dark here.

Need the car since I'm driving around in a vw polo at the moment which is... Claustrophobic

Any ideas?

What are they using for a scan tool? Need a Tech2 or equivalent to get a full read on all of the sensors and modules that could be at fault here.

My guess is a weak ground in the ignition coil circuit leading to the coil packs on that bank generating either little or no spark. Or, you have a broken wire/poor connection in the main power leads to the coils on that cylinder bank. Look for pinched or chewed wires in the harness.

Please post the exact codes. Might have a bad downstream O2 sensor, or more likely, the wiring is bad. Can you elaborate on what the "servo pump" is?

Sounds simple. Cold engine in open loop does not use the O2 sensors yet...as soon as it warms up enough it switches to closed loop and relies on the O2 sensors for fueling and it sounds like yours is dead or the wiring is bad on that bank.
