I just recently got the idea to lift my truck, and make it a mud truck due to unnecessary reason. I was wondering what size rims, and tires would do me good under a 6 in lift in my 96 4 door tahoe, 4x4? I was really interested in getting these rims, if they fit that is. I'm not sure. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/wheels.php?item=ClassicIIBlack

If you could please tell me sizes of the rims, and good tires (roughly 34's) what would be good? Please and thank you all. -Dempsey

Those are the size I blelieve I should be putting under my tahoe. I need some suggestions though. I'm looking for some 34-36 All Terrains. What would match up with those rims, and fit nicely under a 6in. suspension lift?

My advice is a 16x8 or 10, small diameter wheels have lower cost tires. Wider the wheel the wider the mud tire you can run. Less back spacing sits the tires out further. Tire size I would go with is a 35x12.5x 16 or what ever size wheel you get.

Thank you Bowtie, I am 100% positive that these are the rims I want. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/wheels.php?item=ClassicIIBlack&sku=1268421&size=16x8&type=LT
Would they be the right fit for me to have 35x12.5x16s? It really doesn't matter if they stick out here, I don't have any emissions or anything. Just making sure I spend the money on everything right the first time. I'll probably try to find tires the size that would fit on those rims off of Mickey Thompson too.

I found these tires, I like them alot, and believe they are the right size. Would they do good for me on the rims I showed before? http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/truck.php?item=BajaMTZRadial&sku=5266&size=LT315/75R16&type=LT&bnr=y

I like the wheels and tires you picked. Make sure the bolt pattern on the wheels is correct (6x5.5" or 139mm). Back spacing needs to be at least 4.5" or less. With that you will be ok. The lower the back spacing number the more the wheels stick out. A cool look for many, slings mud more, also may cause a few rubbing issues so don't be afraid to trim a little as needed. I have on both my rigs.
