Roof Rails

Has anyone tried to R&R these...or just simply remove? I would like to remove my "chrome" ones and swap them for the black ones. Thank you in advance.

Couldn’t you just wrap or paint them?

I'm replacing mine with OEM parts (minus the roof rails, which I painted). No where near $6k...probably around $1750 or so. The parts are not bad...and my install guy isn't ripping me off.
