Only seems to do it when I first start it and if its wet or humid out. It will serge between 400 rpm and 800 rpm. just up down up down up down. I shift out of park and it stops and does not do it until our next humid day or rain storm. No idea why its doing this.

Clean out your throttle body, not saying that is the reason, but probably dirty and might solve your problem!!

For a complete non-mechanical type like myself, how does one clean the throttle body? (or even find it?)

RT, I am having the same problem. I think it may be the Vacuum piece. Can't think of the exact name right now!

lols...thank you. Sounds simple enough. I'll look. I'm having a surge issue as well, but mine is at speed.

just pull the big tube going into the middle front of your motor spray some carb/throttle body cleaner have someone hold the throttle all the way down with the car off and wipe with a rag
