I have an 03 Tahoe z71, love it to death. She has aftermarket keys and 1.5" coil spacer in the back.
My past setup was 295/70/17 Terra Grapplers on Chevy 5 Star Rims. No issues or no rubbing at all with minor trimming.
Recently bought a new set - 18" NNBS Z71 rim with 35" Trail Grapplers
Rubs pretty bad on the inside of the tire and eating it up pretty bad. Is this due to the offset and backspacing of the rim or are 35"s too big? I have seen plenty of people running 35"s with my setup. What would be my best bet? Spacers or going back down to 33"s?
If spacerd are my best bet, know any websites where I can get them for fairly cheap?
Thanks, pretty new here and would like some positive reply. Thanks again!

Uploaded a picture of the hoe with the old setup!

Would I be able to run a 1/2" spacer or would I not have any stud left? I am fairly sure spacers would fix this issue.

If Im reading this right you have 2 inches of overall lift with 35 inch tires and a aftermarket rims... Most guys with 4 inch lifts will rub with that tire size , I have my lift at 5 inches and I still rub on the trail sometimes . Have you considered Trimming a bit ? Rims does play a role with backspacing but Im pretty sure NNBS rims should be about the same backspacing as your factory wheels (don't quote me on this )

How do I figure out if the backspacing/offset are different than the stock wheels, I tried to do some research but I didnt find much luck. Love the look of my car but it is not very practical as of now haha.
What exactly do you mean by trimming? All the plastic is trimmed and doesnt rub on it at all.

And about the spacers, would I still have stud left?

IIRC Wheel spacers have studs on them. You put them on your factory studs and it hold on your studs and them bolt your tire to the spacer studs. Don't quote me on that but im quite sure that's how it works

This is how the spacers i have used are.

So where exactly are the tires rubbing? are they rubbing on the inner fender front or back? does it rub all the time or just when you turn? I believe with stock offset wheels you can run a taller but narrow tire. while others with a -offset have their wheels stick out and run a wider 12"~ tire rub like crazy while turning.

I have no experience with that but it comes from what I have gathered on here.

Also do you have a picture of the new wheels you have on it? also the actual tire size?

What are the new tire size specs and what rim specs? More than likely its a combo of the wheel offset and tire width causing the issues. Ive seen plenty of cranked hoes with 35s on stock rims but it was a skinny 35, like a 35x11 vs 35x12.50
