Sooo I can’t just put them in the washing machine with black dye like we used to do with black clothes?

GM had a product to treat the "graying" of the Avalanche plastics - I think it was this stuff -

Just tried it. They’re not coming back. They’re pretty damn gray
That sucks. I've seen some people/videos using ceramic coatings, but if that gel stuff doesn't darken them up I doubt the ceramic will either

I’ve also seen a couple threads on here where owners have had their side steps coated in rhino liner or similar product.

It obviously restores the color, lasts longer, and bonus offers more grip than the factory side steps.
