this summer i plan on fixing all of the little rust spots that are hiding all over my hoe and one of these spots is under my fender flares, i know because a bubble started to peak out at me over my driver side rear one, to remove them is it just screws on the bottom and body tape or are there screws behind the top of them too?

there is a metal band around the top/outside of the flare that bolts through the body. been a long while back but took some off an early 90s pick-up in auto body class and it was a PITA.

be careful not to bend up the bands while trying to remove them or they will look wavy as shit when you put the back on.

didn't do it on a hoe, but on the pickup there are plugs in the inner fenders IIRC. can't remember how many studs go through on each of them

should be able to use truck bed patch panels for the rear if they are really bad.

I wouldn't even waste the money trying to fix the rust it will just come back, if not where you fixed it in other spots. But if you really are set on doing it just prepare to see a lot more rust when you remove the fender flares.

ya i know its going to be rusty under the fender flares and it is going to come back but i dont want my tahoe to turn out like all of the rest of the 2 doors in the area and be rusted to shit because one of the reasons i bought mine is because it is one of the cleanest 2 doors in the area at least that ive seen, and if you know how cars are with bad winters its a big thing to have a clean vehicle so im willing to put the work in whenever it is needed :)
