Yo guys...I want to grab some cans of rusteloum or something and do the underneath of my tahoe this weekand. Wana hit the frame, rails and pretty much anything that needs the rust sanded off then blasted with a good rubbercoating. Any suggestions or tips? What brand and how many did you use? Any input would really help, thanks.

I used the Herculiner kit for truck beds and that worked perfectly. Also bought a few cans of the Rustoleom to hit the hard to reach spots. You're gonna need around 10 cans of that stuff if that's all you're using. Not very hard to do, just make sure you sand off all the rust and power-washing the whole undercarriage also helps if you can do it.

i used rustoleum semi-gloss it worked pretty good. did the inner fenders, frame, brake drums, rear end, cross members basically anything metal that couls rust. i used a grinder with a wire wheel and cleaned it up as best i could then gave it 3-4 coats and it looks pro!! i was waiting all winter to do it and it makes one hell of a difference! here are a few pics..

I use a product called Rustcheck. There are two versions a thin oil for getting inside body panels and a heavier one that is for underneath.

The thin one never fully dries and will creep into crevices and seams ... the underside stuff puts a gel coating on.

I used to live in snow county where they salted the crap out of the roads and rustcheck was the best stuff around.

I washed my frame with a stiff brush and dish soap to get most of the oil and grease off, hit the heavy rust spots with a wire brush. Brushed on some think rustolium semigloss, sprayed the wheel wells. Looks awesome.
