Upon performing a search both here and in the perfomance group, I see that several of you have the Scangauge2. I haven't seen any bad comments yet. Is there anything else I should know before purchasing?

Also, Does anyone have the ScangaugeE? If so, is it worth it? Does it give you alot more ability to monitor fuel economy over the MPG feature on the Scangauge2? The live graph itself seems like it would be worth the money.

Is there another instrument out there that would be superior to the two of these combined? I'm thinking about getting them both for my 99' Tahoe and daisy chaining them together. I didn't even know these existed until I saw them advertised on one of the automotive shows on Spike TV Sunday morning.

unknown at this time.
I use scangauge 2 and on the one you can daisy chain 2 with fast update rate. Add one more and I think you have to lower the update rate on them. A graph just makes a function easier to view in terms of up or down. personally I want numbers. Not sure but the bigger one mY be the only one thE does performance runs. You will have to look that up.

Yea, if you mean the scangauge2, to be the bigger one, your right, its the only one that does the performance runs. I'm sure everybody has figured out how **** I am about mpg, from what I can see on their website the ScangaugeE gives you alot more mpg monitoring possibilities. If I only got one it would definitely be the Scangauge2 but I'm thinking about getting both, so that I can get all the benefits of both. Using both you can have numbers and the graph at the same time.

We have a graph function on our new F150 and I love it.

Just pulled the trigger on a Scangauge2 and ScangaugeE. I'm going to daisy chain them together and have access to all the information I'll probably ever need.

What I'm looking for now is some ideas as to where to mount them. I got the suction cup windshield mount included with the Scangauge2 but I'm open to any suggestions.

They will have to be mounted within 4" of each other, that's how long the daisy chain cable is.

I was thinking maybe putting the windshield mount low and to the left, don't think that will obstruct view too much. I could probably just velcro them together on the mount.

Another idea was to not use the mount and velcro them both to the dash just left of the steering wheel.

Sunlimt has the best place for it...overhead console. I have a variety of gauges in the trunk...so I am going to mount my scan gauges in my Escalade Center Console

Hadn't really considered the overhead console, I'll have to give it a try when the gauges get here. They should be here around the end of the week.

If I were just doing the Scan2, I would definitely do the overhead but I'll have to see if I can watch the ScanE graph and still keep my eyes on the road well enough with it up there.
